The Zion-Benton Children’s Service was founded in 1951 by Olive Lind, a Zion school nurse.
It was then known as the Zion Social Service.

The Lind Memorial Dental Clinic was named in her honor in 1973.
The programs are administered by a board of directors selected from a cross section of both townships.
Meetings are held at least four times a year and are open to the public.

An independent public accountant examines the financial records annually and a report is sent to the Illinois Attorney General.

Our mission is to provide full dental care to children of low-income families in the Zion and Benton Townships and surrounding communities who may be on state insurance (Medicaid) or uninsured.
